Our Story
Bru & Muñoz Abogados was founded in Málaga in the 1990s. What started as a local practice grew, over more than 25 years, into a firm known specifically for working with international clients — people buying property, settling an inheritance, or building a new life on the Costa del Sol, often without speaking Spanish and without knowing where to start.
Today the firm is led by Sofía, who continues that same close, personal way of working: one client and one case at a time, not a call centre passing you between departments.
Who We Work With
Our clients are mostly foreign nationals — retirees, second-home owners, expatriates and investors — based in or moving to Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Torremolinos and Málaga city. Many come to us buying their first property in Spain; others are already here and need help with an inheritance, their tax situation, or setting up a business.
Languages We Work In
Legal Spanish is hard enough in your own language. That's why we work directly with clients in English, Swedish, Finnish and Portuguese, as well as Spanish — without relying on a translator, and without losing important details along the way.
How We Work
We work only for our clients — never for the estate agent, the seller, or the other side of a transaction. That independence is what lets us tell you honestly when something needs attention before you sign, rather than smoothing it over to get a deal done.
